Lemondate is built so we collect as little as possible. The app is designed to work entirely on your device:
- Device basics: only standard iOS information such as device model and OS version, used so the app runs correctly on your phone.
- Language: your device locale, so the interface is shown in the right language.
- Your favorites and settings: stored locally on your device via SwiftData. We never see them.
We do not ask for, and we do not receive, an email address, a name, a phone number or any social account.
- Show the eight Lemondate categories and the 400 conversation sparks bundled with the app.
- Pick the daily Spark of the Day deterministically on your device.
- Save your favorites locally so you can find them in the Favorites tab.
- Schedule a single local notification per day at a random time between 18:00 and 20:00.
Your data is yours. Everything you save in Lemondate is stored on your device only. We do not run a server that holds your conversations or your favorites.
The app does not transmit your sparks, your favorites, or any usage history. Uninstalling Lemondate removes every piece of locally stored data immediately.
Lemondate can send you one gentle daily reminder. The text is picked from a built-in list of 30 short neutral messages such as "We're waiting for you" or "Your daily moment awaits".
All reminders are scheduled and delivered locally by iOS. We do not send push notifications from a server, and the first reminder is never delivered earlier than 24 hours after you install the app.
You can turn reminders off at any time from Settings inside the app, or from the iOS Settings app under Notifications.
When you tap the share button on a spark, Lemondate generates a card image on your device and hands it to the standard iOS share sheet. We never see what you share or to whom.
Lemondate is rated for ages 12 and up because some categories include flirt-themed conversation prompts. The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, regardless of age.
- View and delete: your favorites live on your phone and can be removed one by one or all at once in Settings → Clear favorites.
- Stop using the app: uninstall Lemondate and every locally stored item is removed.
- Ask us anything: write to [email protected] and a human will reply.
If we update this policy we will publish the new version at the same URL and refresh the date below. Continued use of Lemondate after a change means you accept the updated policy.
